While the doctrine of Original Sin is manipulative and contrived, the human heart still yearns to be renewed and revived.

The feeling of fleeting divinity in man is restored when he stands before Beauty.  The raw evasive angles of nature as seen in a state park, a luscious burlesque show performance, a museum trip, or a quick flip through a high fashion magazine can energize the mind and spirit because a Paradise Lost is rediscovered in the interface with beauty which comes in countless forms.

Both Hebrew and Ethiopian Amharic are related languages. The Hebrew word “Tiphareth”  means “Beauty.” The Amharic equivalent of that word is “Tafari”

The term “Ras Tafari” literally means  “The Godhead that inspires a sense of awe through Beauty.” 

You find the notion in Africa’s diverse cultures and worldviews that everyone can’t stare directly into the face of the divine unless they have been prepared gradually through Degrees. The beaded curtain covering the face is a familiar motif in West African spirituality.

The vision of Awe that electrifies one man may reduce another to a heap of smoldering ash. Not all central nervous systems have the same electrical carrying capacity. Each man receives what he can handle, and what he can handle is based on what he has dared to imagine is even possible through his own Psychic Stamina.
