Playing in Pazuzu's Face
TechnoFeudalism, The Depopulation Bomb & The West's Worship of Cold Calculated Convenience
The ancient Mesopotamian demon Pazuzu—whom many of us were introduced to in the horror movie The Exorcist 2—was acknowledged in real life as a bona fide spiritual presence by the ancient people of Akkad.
Pazuzu destroys life-giving crops during rainy and dry seasons when the population isn't having enough sex to make babies. These babies grow up to become adults who keep the civilization youthful, vibrant, and flourishing.
Pazuzu is essentially a fertility police officer (Public Policy Enforcer) employed by the spiritual medicine men and women of ancient Mesopotamia, which had deep roots in primeval Ethiopia. Ancient Abyssinia is one of the places that many West Africans traveled to once the Sahara started to become a desert around 13,000 BCE. Pazuzu is lord of the southwestern wind which is an air gust coming out of Ethiopia before traveling northeast into Iraq.
Pazuzu is a conceptual forerunner to the Canaanite divinity Baal, whom the later Hebrews called "The Lord of the Flies" and the "Prince of the Power of the Air." His primary role is to valiantly protect pregnant mothers during childbirth, which is a time when malicious entities attempt to harm them and their newborns.
The Womanly Wisdom that you don’t allow just anyone in your immediate presence while you are several months pregnant is rooted in the preconscious awareness that certain spirits that people knowingly, and unknowingly, have clinging to them can cause a miscarriage. Your body is your primary home, and water is synonymous with feeling and emotionally charged communications toward you that may or may not be to your benefit. Look into the practical purpose of gargoyles on medieval castles, then consider what they eventually came to be known for as building ornaments.
A woman’s sense of smell, sight, hearing, taste, and touch become more intensified while she is pregnant because what she internalizes into her being through her senses are literally the elements that go into assembling her baby’s body in her womb. This is why EVERY mother is a master mason.
The so-called 5 senses are all variations of Touch. You only have one sense with 5 different modes. To build something you must touch it. Do you SEE your desired future in your mind’s eye? It’s always within your grasp!
When you walk into a kitchen and you smell something amazing cooking on the stove you are touching the food that is transported to your nostrils by a flame. This is why many chefs can lose their desire to eat, because they are constantly internalizing their food from smelling it.
Every touch has a sound, and it is sound that brings all tangible matter into existence from the realm of the unseen. When a martial artist yells “keeYAH!” with each punch and kick he is electromagnetically charging every muscle, every ligament involved in the focused act. Most of your body is made of water, so we must be mindful of the sounds we allow to touch us. They have the ability to charge or deplete us.
Anyway, it would seem that a culture that incentivizes the relentless pursuit of optimization in all areas of human affairs would be an offense to Pazuzu. After all, he is a mythopoetic expression of how an ancient ethnic group in East Africa (newly reclassified as the MiddleEast) experienced the primal regenerative intelligence that is inherent in nature. Pazuzu is a plasma energy intelligence embedded in the ecology of East Africa.
If you notice, in The Exorcist 2 there seems to be a connection between Pazuzu and modern Ethiopia. This looks very random if you don’t know the history and culture of ancient East Africa, which included what is now Iraq. The Akkadians tell you in their myth where Pazuzu comes from, which says A LOT when you consider Pazuzu’s investment in the preservation of Akkadian bloodlines.
The God of modern Western society is not Jesus Christ, Allah, or Adonai. It is maximum efficiency through Hyper Optimization of social systems which are moving towards TechoFeudalism. This is a post capitalist, post democratic social system where digital platforms function as Land Lords, and its users primarily fit into the category of Surfs (Consumers who produce very little or nothing at all) andVassals (Creators who consume moderately or very little).
In a culture of Hyper Optimization people want everything right away for nothing. Society—especially in large cities—has become so convenient and hyper efficient that no one can stand to wait for anything. In New York City many train stations tell you —at the street level— how many minutes until your desired underground subway train arrives.
Most Americans can secure library books on their phones in a matter of minutes without traveling in person to the library, only to find the book is not even available. If you have Apple Music, then you have the world’s largest record store inside of your pocket. This is very convenient, and these are just a couple of examples. I’m sure that you can think of more.
I remember being a little boy visiting family friends in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica in the summer of 1989. My sisters and I were playing with a little goat on the owner’s land. A few days later our cute playmate was a curry goat Sunday dinner on our porcelain plates in the dining room. The same day I played with the goat I saw his decapitated head in a bag after he was slaughtered. I’ll never forget it. Many of us in the United States can go to a meat market and get goat meat in a plastic bag.
However, the market experience divorces us from the bloody sacrifice of life that takes place for our culinary satisfaction. Today, people are even more detached from their plate of curry goat through a Jamaican restaurant order on GrubHub or DoorDash as they sit at home watching Netflix or smoking weed. You don’t even step foot in the restaurant.
Can you truly be grateful for your life if you are not participating in the ritual sacrifice of another life that makes your sustenance possible? The sacrifice can come in the form of a ram or some yams.
The pursuit of relentless optimization comes from the worship of convenience. As rewarding as having children are, giving birth to them and INTENTIONALLY raising them is not convenient. Perhaps it can be if you’re financially rich, or have a large close-knit family which is becoming less and less of a reality in the West. Having children in the modern Western world can be very inconvenient.
However, inconvenience won’t lead to your misery or dissatisfaction UNLESS convenience has become your God. This new God of the modern western world is the force behind the depopulation bomb where people of all races in Western societies are choosing to have less children than prior generations did. The population isn’t growing in the United States, Asia, or Europe in the ways that many might assume. Neither are wages, which obviously has an impact on people’s desire to expand their families by having children.
Even the population growth in Black America isn’t coming primarily from an increase in Foundational Black Americans, but in the immigrant class of Blacks from Central, South America, Africa, and the Caribbean who come to the United States and make babies on U.S. soil where they are reclassified as “Black American.” The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2025 was put in place to close off U.S. borders to so-called undesirables through legislation.
When I was a working journalist in 2003 I interviewed Sikhulu Shange, a South African born record shop owner who was well known throughout Harlem. Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, James Brown and Peter Tosh would all come through to his shop which became a cultural hub on 125th street. His shop existed for nearly 40 years after opening in 1972.
He told me to my face that Africans immigrating to large cities in the United States go through orientations where U.S. federal authorities, and their liaisons across the Atlantic, pretty much tell them to stay away from Black Americans because they may be involved in criminal enterprises that could get them deported back to the African countries they came from.
Shange also said that he got to see Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr speak at different times in person, and as a native African, that changed his life. He leaned deeperinto Pan Africanism. Shange told me about his multiple meetings with Fela Kuti and how Fela was mainly influenced by what we now call Foundational Black Americans. He kept driving it home that the white power structure is committed to keeping Africans, Black Americans and Blacks living in the Caribbean fighting amongst one another.
If you are a white TecnoFeudalist one of the cleverest things you could do is stir the political pot so that Foundational Black Americans overwhelmingly become anti-immigration U.S. patriots who buy the shrinking white technocrats more time by pushing for anti-immigration policies that target foreign born Blacks coming to America to learn TECHNOLOGY. This would undoubtedly neutralize Black population growth in the U.S., and delay Africa’s rise as a technological powerhouse.
In the 1980s I knew multiple Black families with 4-5 children. I’m almost 50 and many of my peers have 1-2 children. More than a few don’t have any in their care. This may not be as true in the rural southern regions of the United States, but it certainly is the case in the nation’s major Convenience Zones (i.e. large cities).
A few years ago I theorized that it’s going to become common for the general public to get dopamine spikes from watching people online, who are watching other people, have sex. It sounds unlikely, doesn’t it?
Not if you’re paying attention to how Americans have become comfortable with their second and third-hand life experiences. Many people live very uninteresting lives, so they compensate with countless hours of streaming programming and other distractions that pull them away from their OWN legacies.
Elon Musk recently came out with a hyper sexualized female chatbot assistant designed to “help” men named “Ani.” In ancient Kemet Ani meant “Beloved” and a notable priest-scribe went by that name. I suspect the name choice was very intentional on Musk’s part.
If we’re not careful, I can see a future where a man and a woman spontaneously deciding to have sex with each other is seen as a revolutionary act. The youth will be divorced from their primal instincts because they spend too much time alone thinking and consuming media. Pornography is viewed the most in countries where people are uptight about confronting Mahakala, the Black desires that lurk within the shadows of their minds.
With the exception of Japan, most of the countries that have a high pornography view rate have a large Catholic population. In The Excorcist 2, Pazuzu is framed as evil while the Catholic Church is presented as righteous. It is even suggested near the end of the film that Pazuzu’s locusts would be slayed by a Black Locust hiding among them. This particular locust is a metaphor for the Jesuit Order in my opinion.
The Global North is playing in Pazuzu’s face. How will the distant descendants of Akkad in these regions respond? As I write this piece, the song “Humpin’” by The Gap Band is playing on some cosmic synchronicity shit. Still that’s just the branch. The trunk of the tree of life involves us moving away from the God of Convenience.
Embrace your real first hand experiences. Break a sweat. Get your hands dirty. Walk, or ride a bicycle instead of driving when you can. We’re creating our lives one flap of Pazuzu’s wings at a time. The Old Gods (Nature) and New Gods (Cyber Realm) of Earth are at war and the future of organic life hangs in the balance.

This is so on point!! I was just talking about this with my husband. The main points were convenience, how dangerous it is that humans are becoming detached from reality, and how I don’t see a lot of families with lots of children anymore in the black community. Love the way you brought it all together 🖤
Heavy and timely. I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into your writing.
