Queen Charlotte, The Woke Economy & The Days of Reckoning

When the Queen Charlotte spinoff of A Bridgerton Story was introduced to Netflix subscribers a lot of people who don’t really know Europe’s history got mad. They said that real history was being appropriated in the name of woke politics. Critics objected to Charlotte’s depiction as a young Black woman.

The historical Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, (whom the U.S. city of North Carolina is named after) was an 18th century queen of Great Britain who was from Germany, as were multiple British monarchs.

She was on the throne of Britain when the American Declaration of Independence was signed. This is very significant as you’re about to see.

Charlotte’s lineage is believed by some historians to be from a Portuguese aristocracy before mixing in with German royals. Portugal is in Southern Europe, which had a strong Moorish presence for centuries before Queen Charlotte was even born.

Benjamin Franklin is a U.S. founding father who was present during the signing of the Declaration of Independence from the British crown. In 1755—which was 21 years before the declaration signing—Franklin published an essay entitled “Observations Concerning the Increasing of Mankind.” Here’s what he had to say about the Germans of his time in that essay:

“That the Number of purely white People in the World is proportionally very small. All Africa is Black or tawny. Asia chiefly tawny. America (exclusive of the new Comers) wholly so. And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call a swarthy Complexion; as are the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth. I could wish their Numbers were increased.

And while we are, as I may call it, Scouring our Planet, by clearing America of Woods, and so making this Side of our Globe reflect a brighter Light to the Eyes of Inhabitants in mars or Venus, why should we in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken its People? why increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red? But perhaps I am partial to the complexion of my Country, for such Kind of Partiality is natural to Mankind.”

The fact that the Portuguese, Spaniards, and Germans of Franklin’s day were considered “Swarthy” and non-white may give us some insight as to why the British royal family has disassociated from its German roots over the last 400 or so years. Adolph Hitler and J. Edgar Hoover are cut from the same cloth. Both promoted a racial ideal that assaulted their own genetics.

Nevertheless, people who’ve seriously studied European history know that many of the Kings and Queens of Europe were related. At one point the King of Portugal was literally a cousin to the King of Spain.

The British royal family has never denied that Queen Charlotte was Black or mulatto. It has only side-stepped the conversation. However prolongued silence rooted in shame may manifest as cancers of the body and mind. Europe’s “nobility” tells you who they descend from in their coat of arms which many white historians ignore because of the abundance of Black faces in these hidden depictions that are available on the internet.

Don’t exclusively rely on the internet for real information, though. Find yourself some books. Not so that you can parrot the information to appear smart, but so that you can build a library. If you are an adult man or woman with a family you should be cultivating a library for your household. Civilized families have conversations about the non-fiction that they’re reading. I highly recommend people read the work of Jamaican author J.A. Rogers. Sex and Race Vol 1 might be a good start. I also recommend Ancient & Modern Britains by David MacRitchie.

You cannot thrive in a modern Western world if you do not know the history and psychology that went into building it. Only knowing about how Blacks were victimized in that process is guaranteed to keep you in the space of a bitter victim, which is sadly what a lot of Blacks living in America are by the time they hit 40 years of age.

The idea that Charlotte was Black, or a mixed descendant of Black aristocrats, is only ridiculous to people who don’t know the complicated history of Europe. Much of what Americans learn in Social Studies are outright lies and half truths.

The African Slave trade wasn’t initially about racism. The racism was a rationalization for the immoral means by which profits were generated from the destruction of human lives. Slavery was about MONEY and POWER. The owners of capital fostered a transnational culture that allowed them to hold on to their money and power. The Ava Duvernay film Origins (2024) does a good job of highlighting this reality.

In 2024, THE WOKE ECONOMY is becoming a source of money and power like the slave trade used to be. So Diddy can talk to billionaire Ray Diallo about Mansa Musa in late 2018 because Marvel’s first Black Panther film grossed over one billion dollars at the global box office earlier that year. Now stories that are more rooted in historical truth will be told in movie theaters and streaming platforms outside of small social networks.

The Woke Economy was by and large created by self educated Black men that corny bougie Negros and Black LGBTQ people of color call “Hoteps.” Its a stupid tag because “Hotep” simply means “Peace” in the ancient African language of Kemet. What kind of Black person clowns anything cultural from Africa that is related to peace and dignity?

Now white liberals, white conservatives, and safe Negroes are building fortunes off of the ideas and conceptualizations that so-called Hoteps introduced to the public sphere for consideration and dialogue decades ago. The same thing happened with hip-hop in the 1980s.

Cultural movements that young Black men spearhead are always laughed at and ridiculed. Eventually everyone will come to the realization that the only thing that matters is what’s going on in the young Black mind because that mind has the power to transform and edify the entire human family irrespective of race, creed, or class. This has already been proven and you will see it proven to be true again and again.

Yes, the tide of consciousness is rising on the planet. This is prompting more truth in the telling of history. But don’t underestimate the economic principle of Supply & Demand in much of what you’re seeing.
