It was a pleasure to speak to my people and see familiar faces during my very first formal lecture presentation.

Many people looking at me promote this lecture from afar via social media may have asked themselves:

“why is Adika going to talk about something as frivolous as fashion with everything going on in the world today?”

Perhaps you thought that I should be talking about the U.S. conflict with Iran, the Diddler, or AI Boogie Bots poised and ready to sodomize you right before they steal your job that you love so much.

However, if Black men and women have always been the leaders in fashion, is it really frivolous and unimportant, or is it merely framed as such BECAUSE we have always dominated it and someone wants to deprive us of our Cultural Capital? He who controls the narrative controls public perception. Here, I control the narrative and it is such a joy to share my findings with you.
