Transformers: The Movie (1986)

A brief overview of the Greatest Story Ever Told

On September 27, 2018 I had an opportunity to see Transformers: The Movie (1986) on the silver screen. The one-day screening was a Fathom Events promotion.

When the film originally blessed theaters on August 8th, 1986 I was told how great it was, but I didn’t see it until 1988 when it aired on Sunday morning television. This was right before the cartoon was pulled from public television in favor of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Fuck those Ninja Turtles. The Transformers is the greatest cartoon of all time.

I’ll never forget when Megatron went ratchet and transformed into a hand-held ratchet so that Starscream could blast Ratchet, Iron Hide, Brawn and Prowl to death as their eyes ignited and the black smoke of death billowed out of their mouths. When I saw this wild shit as a kid, I was left totally speechless. My investment in the Transformers mythology had reached new heights.

As an adult in 2018, I was able to make some observations in the theater that I wasn’t able to make 30 years prior in 1988. However 30 is approximately the number of years it takes the planet Saturn to make one revolution around the sun (actually it’s 29.4 years, but I did qualify my statement by saying “approximately”).  Both the Roman god and planet Saturn figure prominently in this film.

First of all, it returned to theaters on September 27, 2018 which was the height of the Jewish holiday known as Sukkot, which literally translates to “Feast  of Tabernacles” in Hebrew. We know who runs the American film industry based in Hollywood, so I won’t waste your time getting into all of the details. The book An Empire of Their Own: How the Jews Invented Hollywood may be a good place to start if you don’t already know. The book came out the same year I first saw Transformers: The Movie on television.

During Sukkot—which is celebrated for 8 days—Jews DEVOUR their dinner outdoors inside of a black cube enclosure (although colors may vary). A cube has 8 points. The holiday lasts 8 days and the planet Saturn is synonymous with the number 8 in Western numerology. It’s also associated with blackness. Jews obey the Sabbath on Saturday which is literally “Saturn’s day.” Orthodox Jews wear black big brimmed hats reminiscent of the rings of Saturn.

In both eastern and western astrology the planet brings trials, tribulation, and hardship to people, especially if they are not hardworking and vigilant in their day-to-day lives. Saturn is a JUDGE, which is why judges wear black, which is the color of lead, the alchemical element tied to Saturn.

In Roman mythology, Saturn—who was known as Kronos in ancient Greece—is the DEVOURER of his children. In Transformers: The Movie,  the planet Unicron takes on the adversarial role of the mythological Saturn. 

His very image is based on the cover of Liz Greene’s astrology book entitled Saturn: A New Look at an Old Devil. Unicron also DEVOURS his children in the movie as he consumed the Decepticon leader Galvatron, whom he created,  after Galvatron brings him the precious Autobot Matrix of Leadership.

Unicron represents the encroaching winter forces of death hence he wants to destroy the matrix, which is the womb, the incubator of life. When Unicron initiates the transfiguration of Megatron into Galvatron he makes Galvatron a purple firing canon. There is meaning there. Purple is synonymous with the seafaring merchant Phoenicians who were the cultural predecessors of the classical Moors. Also the canon is a Moorish invention.

There was a collective of Dirty Moors who were commissioned to destroy the matrix, which is the natural world. The real Unicron of our galaxy is the spiritual force that the Dogon of Mali call Ogo who became Yurugu, The Pale Fox.

The transhumanist agenda we are witnessing is telepathically being coordinated by Yurugu from the lower astral plane. Yurugu is astrally approaching planet Earth right now in the manner that Unicron approaches Cybertron: as a predator.

The Yurugu Plane is overlapping more and more with our reality hence the feeling that time is speeding up along with the industrial world’s emphasis on computer technologies for control and the multiplication of incel males who hate women’s wombs and love inorganic technology. Julius Oppenheimer, Ray Kurzweil, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg are just some of the ambassadors of Yurugu on the Earth plane. These men are the character equivalents of Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge in Transformers: The Movie. They are the heralds of Yurugu’s dawn.

There is a Holy Grail aspect to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, so we can easily say that it represents the venerated womb of the wise woman. There is an excellent article by Bridgewater State University professor Jessica Lévai on that subject entitled Evidence of the Female Divine in Transformers: The Movie.

However the Holy Grail mythos of medieval European literature does not have its origin in Europe. For the Western world, its origins go back to al-Futuwwah (The Defenders of Virtue), a Sufi order that spread from the so-called “Middle East” and West Africa during the Middle Ages to  influence European Christian institutions like the Knights Templar.

In ancient Kemet the word for “Master” was “Neb” and the glyph used to refer to it on temple walls was the image of a “bowl” which carries the same symbolic connotation as a grail. The spiritual master is the holder of the grail, or the pot. The name “Oludumare” of Nigeria’s Ifa tradition literally translates into “The pot that never stops giving.” I’d say this is an allusion to the womb, but what do I know?

The holy lance of the ancient Egyptian Moor archetype called “Saint Maurice” factors into the narrative as well. I will be doing a post on him very soon in relation to the Holy Grail mythos. The name “Rodimus” in “Rodimus Prime” denotes the “hot rod” or the Holy Lance that penetrates the Matrix (The Womb) to LIGHT OUR DARKEST HOUR through the harmonious intercourse of polar opposites.

When a man ejaculates luminous semen into a woman’s dark womb he lights her darkest hour. Rodimus Prime, the movie’s hero, represents the chosen one who is able to fuse and ignite the masculine and feminine energies within HIMSELF.

Ultra Magnus can’t achieve Transcendental Androgeny in the movie because he is too masculine. He doesn’t have an once of feminine Aze in him. Although he is a great leader, Magnus relies purely on logic and calculation, with no real intuition. Hot Rod on the other hand is the quintessential fool of the tarot. The fool’s number is 22.

Long after the fall of Kemet there were sacred orders throughout West Africa that were charged with the task of preserving “The Wisdom of the Ages” parodied in the Transformers cartoon. Among the Gur-speaking people of Burkina Faso, Senegal, Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Mali there are those who speak a dialect of the language called “MOOR” or “Moore.”

Among the Moor speakers of West Africa are the Islamically influenced Mossi of modern day Burkina Faso who were great warriors and horseback riders in the days when the Ghanaian Empire was still strong. I was told by a reliable source that the Mossi priests were called the “NEBihi.” Within that name you have the Kemetic word “Neb” for “Master” (spiritual adept). This is cultural continuity as East Africans moved into West Africa.

In addition to being a metaphor for the womb, the Autobot Matrix of Leadership is a metaphor for the great university at Timbuktu and the Earth Lodges across the globe where spiritual alchemy was taught. The Matrix of Leadership as a physical grail also symbolizes the gentic memory that a great man inherits from his mother who has strong Aze, which is spiritual force. This person may have the wisdom and insight to light humanity’s darkest hour when the world needs it most.

The entire Transformers mythology comes out of the Black trans-Atlantic experience. The word “Robot” is literally derived from the Czech word “Robota” which means “Forced Laborer” or “Slave.” According to the cartoon storyline, the Autobots and Decepticons were slaves to the Quintessons until they had a mass slave revolt (Virginia, Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba) and drove their supposed masters off of planet Cybertron.

You can skip to the 13:40 minute mark of the video where Rodimus communicates with his ancestors in the matrix for personal guidance. Ancester communication is a core element in spiritual cultures throughout Africa past and present. He even learns about them being forced to participate in mandingo fights to entertain their slave masters.

The Transformers are “More Than Meets the Eye” but so is every Black person whose cultural identity has been suppressed by unbridled capitalism and colonialism which leaves many dead or imprisoned.

Understand that there are times when the only barrier separating truth from fiction is the TIME it takes for us to confirm that our imaginations are real. Every day you use technologies that were thought to be purely fictional in 1925. It was the gaping chasm of time that separated the reality of 1925 from the truth of 2023.

There is no heirarchy between fictional and non-fictional relaities. Once we understand this clollectively, we gain access to a more malleable world of miracles.
