In the early 1980s Japanese anime affirmed some of the Rastafarian values of my youth. This article explores some of the Coptic symbolism and Garveyist themes underyling the Voltron mythos

As a six-year-old child I wanted a Voltron toy as much as I wanted anything up until that point.

I remember my dad and I were in a Korean gift shop on Flatbush in Brooklyn when I had my best opportunity to secure one. This was in 1986.
